Ukulele night, sculpture work in progress, man with beard show
Melbourne Ukulele Festival is finally here, I went to the opening night of Pimp my M.U.F, and here are some photos from the night. If you didn’t make it to the opening night, don’t worry, the exhibition will be there until 31 March 2013. The exhibition will then be extended to 1 Spring Street, Melbourne CBD Exhibition open 2nd – 30th April, with another opening night on Friday 5th April 5-7pm (Opening hours after that is Monday – Friday, 8am – 7pm)

Here is a shot from my new sculpture experiment. I can’t say how it’s going to turn out yet because it’s still in the dark days. What I know is I made a 3 legged chicken in Hearty White, the super lightweight modeling clay, and then only to realise I suppose to bake the super sculpey feet first, so I ended up putting the whole thing in the oven, please don’t make the same mistake like me, it’s just not good I think…

I’ve also started painting a new piece for the group show “Men with beards” hosted by
Off the Kerb Gallery. This is going to be my first piece working on hardboard, it was unexpected easy! I think I’m going to use hardboard more often in the future.
