Artwalk with Yeok: At home with the Hotham Street Ladies

This is the first artwalk video in 2014, you might have noticed few changes. Finally I learnt how to upload HD videos properly, and I have decided to limit each video to one artist/show only. I have thought about voice over many times, but after few attempts, they just don’t seem to work. But I still want to provide some sort of commentary, and I thought music might be easier for me. Hopefully you will discover some  music from me too!

It’s true, sugar always excites people, even when you haven’t even had it yet. So looking at all these everyday objects made out of sugar and cake, it was like heaven. One of my friends didn’t even realise they were made out of sugar until much later, it really encourages you to observe the subtle details. That’s the whole point of these three large installations by the Hotham Street ladies. This is probably my favourite piece from Melbourne Now.

Music: Ne Sois Pas Si Bete by France Gall
