— Every week, I spend one day exploring new art shows around town. The shows are hand picked by myself so it’s a personal taste and connections, so it’s not a comprehensive list of any sort. If you are into similar type of art, then it will be most helpful to you as a guide around Melbourne and other places I visit. Here you will find a list of all latest art walk posts
Friday schedule, stalk me if you dare:
The first stop ended to be
Signed and numbered. The lady there was super nice, when I asked for photograph permission, she said “Yeah of course!” and she offered to help me with any questions. I had look at the
One show at Just another project space (back of the store), it’s such a great space with plenty awesome artworks. It’s on until 30 July so you should totally check it out!

RTIST Gallery is just few steps away from Signed and numbered. It’s a relatively new art gallery with a bar in the front yard. Shiny new works across different medium were presented in a sexy space. My in-house ninja reckons the conversation between the French guy and the British guy in the gallery was too hot to handle.

View of the gallery from the bar, what a great idea to combine both at one place! We need more multi-functional spaces like RTIST Gallery |

Creature creature‘s artworks are also here. I went to their first Melbourne solo show later that night. |

Shortly after that, we headed to Northcote to do the paste up for
Northern Exposure Visual Arts Festival 2013. The event was such a success, it really gets people to seek beauty. You will find a bunch of people taking photos of everything on the street, some are the artworks from the festival, others might have been there for the whole time and people just started noticing them. I wrote about the whole story on my piece for the festival, if you want to know how this was all came about,

At last, I went to
Creature Creature‘s opening at
Chaotic Gallery. I got there at 8pm, the music was pumping, and people seem to really enjoy the atmosphere. I didn’t realise Creature Creature is a couple duo, I start to see more and more like them, such as
Double Parlour. I’m glad to see it’s working well for them, nothing is better than sharing creative vision with your other half. I thinks it’s Chaotic Gallery’s second show since launch, can’t wait to see more from them!
