Work in progress of my installation art in Melbourne

Here are the proof of my upcoming plan of mischief in 2013. As you may know, I’ve been nagging about my solo show in 2013 and you have seen very little action from me. That is not good.
While it looks quiet from outside, I have been busy doing things behind the scene ever since I got back from my lovely trip to Shanghai. Shanghai was big and noisy, and it has inspired me so much about my work. So here is a little peep into my art making moments.
This is probably the biggest table I have around the house, so I use it to lay down my fabric very flat, very very flat. It should be perfectly aligned so I can draw perfect straight lines on it.
This is an early mockup of my leg. (Yes it’s precisely my leg) I could sit with it and pretend I have 3 legs but unfortunately it would look very very wrong…
So here are the lines I’ve done on the fabric. This is for the smaller bits. Anyone who attend to use my fabric scissors for paper or other sort of things will get a yelling from me right away. DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING BUT FABRIC!
While we are doing our thing, our neighbour’s cat would come and say hello. This is a very very chubby cat, obviously he/her is not on diet. (And very evil too, all they think about is killing, all day long!)
One of the reason the cat visited us that day was because of this little bird hiding in our bush (can you see it? the dark bird between the branches?) Gihan tried his best to keep the cat away from the bird, and I rather “not disturb” the nature. (Am I too evil to think that way?)

A little close up. This crack me up every time I see it. (It’s like,”What is this thing in front of me … Am I being hypnotised? Can I lick it or put my claws on it?)

Gihan is painting the legs. He did the sculpting of the legs by the way. He is awesome at it.
Hehe, isn’t that strange? The earth has finally grown legs.
Me working on the big piece, I could only see red after a while.
Rare photo of me operating the sewing machine (because normally I would have done it by myself so no one is there to take photos or I’m just too lazy to take it myself) And yes I will wear scarf indoor any day.
