Jan Woodman

Jan began painting in a botanical way in the mid 1980's. Living in the Adelaide Hills she became fascinated by the colourful diversity and fragility of the local wildflowers. Her particular love is for the orchids and smaller herbaceous plants, and she enjoys painting them growing in their natural habitat. She has had 6 solo exhibitions, and exhibited in 'The Art of Botanical Illustration' 1996 - 2012. Her works are included in the Adelaide and Melbourne State Botanical Art Collections, and in private collections throughout Australia and overseas. She is author/publisher of 5 wildflower cross-stitch embroidery books and author/artist of 'Nature Revealed - an artist's view of the wildflowers of South Australia'.
