Jennifer Ure

Jennifer has been an artist throughout her life beginning with life drawing, moving onto screen printing of original art on cloth, to oil painting under John Mutsaers, a well-known Gippsland artist. Jennifer's interest in botanical art began with a course at CAE about ten years ago, which resulted in the refinement of her drawing skills and first attempts at applying water colour. For the past four years, Jennifer has been under the tutelage of botanical artist, Helen Burrows, where her watercolour skills have continued to develop. This piece of work of a Quercus rubra leaf is inspired by Rory McEwan's intricate paintings of leaves.
