A trained and experienced painter and teacher, Fiona has been fully involved with botanical art for over 20 years. Since 1996, she has taught at Jenny Phillips’ Botanical Art School of Melbourne. Exhibiting widely since 1994, Fiona’s work has been selected for many group exhibitions, including The Art of Botanical Illustration [RBG Melb.] 1994-2014; Botanica [RBG Sydney] as guest artist in 2005, then 2006-2014; The 10th International Exhibition [Hunt Institute, Pittsburgh, USA] 2000; BotanicAsia [RBG Melb.] 2009. Fiona’s works are in many private and corporate collections in Australia and the U.K., and also the Highgrove Florilegium, the Florilegium of the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney,the State Botanical Collection, and the Collection of the City of Whitehorse. Fiona is honoured to be the ‘Invited Artist’ for the City of Whitehorse for 2015,and looks forward to showing her botanical works, old and new, at the Artspace next October.
