Tess Mahar

In 2005 Tess completed a Diploma of Visual Art at the Gordon Institute Geelong. Having a love of nature and wanting to capture the unique features and beauty of plants, Tess commenced tuition in Botanic Art in 2006. She is presently being tutored by Dianne Emery. Tess has exhibited her work in The Art of Botanical Illustration since 2006. She has also exhibited her painting in Botanica 2013, ‘The Masters and Moore’, the Botanic Gardens, Sydney. In 2010, Tess received an Honourable Mention in the Celia Rosser Award for her painting of Hydrangea quercifolia. Hydrangea quercifolia was included in the Botanical Illustrators’ Calendar in 2013. Tess has paintings in private and public collections.
