Dianne Emery is a contemporary Botanical and Natural History painter living and working in Melbourne. Her background in Fine Art and Horticulture motivates her to reveal her subjects scientifically, empirically and as individual character studies. An interest in form and colour, and in the relationship forged between the eye of the viewer and living subject, has motivated a desire to capture something of this experience in paint. Dianne currently teaches botanical painting for the friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and conducts workshops in botanical art in Victoria and inter-state.
