Deb Chirnside

Deb has studied botanic art in Geelong and Melbourne and has practiced as a botanic artist since 2000. Deb has exhibited in a number of botanical exhibitions over the years. These include the Hunt Institute, Pittsburgh, USA, in 2010; The Art of Botanical Illustration Exhibition, Melbourne, 2004-2012; 16th International Horticultural Society ASBA, New York and 'Botanica', Sydney, 2012, 2013, 2014. In 2010, Deb received an honourable mention in the Celia Rosser award for Botanic Art in Melbourne. One of Deb's watercolour paintings is held in the State Botanical Collection at the National Herbarium, Melbourne. A love of nature has inspired Deb to observe her subjects closely and paint them in detail, often being drawn to the unusual and not quite perfect.
