Andrew Carr

Andrew holds qualifications in science-related fields including teaching and engineering. He currently spends his time as a garlic farmer in Western Victoria and a student of botanical art. He is a keen vegetable gardener and he can often be found pottering in the garden and studying insects and other visitors to his garden. His interest in botanical drawing was sparked whilst visiting The Art of Botanical Illustration in Melbourne, 2010. He started drawing with Penny Elliot in WA. He has since relocated to Melbourne where he lives with his partner, grows vegetables and native plants and, has furthered his passion for scientifically-accurate detailed artwork, under the tutelage of Diane Emery.
