Drown in roses and pouring wine, Rose boy, acrylic on canvas is a painting inspired by Chris Corner, the master mind behind IAMX.
In this dark and haunting image Yeok has taken multiple photos of Chris, rose and mystery red liquid to reassemble the image of a dictator.
Framing recommendation: This print will fit perfectly in a 40x50cm window frame (that’s the size of the display window), it works well with thin black frame. You can get a frame made in your local frame store or purchase affordable frame from local furniture store. IKEA has frames in this size in selected stores.
Yeok is a visual artist live and work in Melbourne, Australia. She has been active in creative field since 2006 and was featured in The Sydney Morning Herald and FAWN Magazine. Her recent paintings combine human features, botanical parts and animal parts to create surreal and believable form. She also use photography, sculpture and installation to create surreal environment, where her imaginary creatures can live and play.
Yeok’s daily activities can be found in her Facebook page and twitter. She also maintain a weekly blog where she will post work in progress, art show, events and other highlight of the week. If you are a visual person, she post photos from her phone to her instagram and tumblr regularly. A: We might or might not sell them in the same method in the future. Generally the price of the print will go up after certain time because the print is more valuable when artist receive more recognition over time.
