My sketch book, betali.st feature, warehouse in Richmond, Sad news, Melbourne Ukulele festival, biohacking

I had a little creativity struggle this week, perhaps it’s because the project is overwhelming. I’m working on a big serie which is also interactive, but nothing solid has come to my sketchbook yet.

Sketch I did in the past 7 days. I need more inspirations!

Another little highlight this week was my feature on betali.st. My phone hasn’t stopped making noises since Saturday night, tons of people have signed up to the launch. (Every time someone sign up, an email will arrive and excites my phone) If you are on the lookout for new services and experiences, betali.st is quite a good resource to get to know about them. I have seen some very interesting services I find useful on this site.

We saw this Richmond warehouse for inspection online and we went and see it just for fun. Not that we can afford it but it was quite interesting to see. We were told it has a 3 in front of the price :) I would love to live here with other artists in an ideal world, with the ground and courtyard the exhibition space and 3 levels of studio/living upstairs.

Sad news. Apparently I’m not going to europe this year (due to family issue). This really sucks because I have been planning it for almost a year now. That also means I’m not going to see Chris Corner this year, I’m not going to his concert and not handing him the painting

I wil see you next year, perhaps.

After customise the bear for toys to the world project, another group show caught my eye. The Melbourne ukulele festival is quite interesting, and they are asking artists to custom paint ukulele for a group show.
I’m not sure what to do with it yet, but it sounds like a good idea. Here is a Facebook event.

I was so excited to see this TED talk about biohacking, I know a lot of people are concerned with the harm it can do, but I think if someone is going to use it for crime one day anyways, we should equip ourselves with knowledge to protest ourselves. Be proactive always win! I’ve thought about ways to incorporate this into my artwork, I mean how cool will it be if you can insert a piece of hair of yours and some artwork come up to represent you?!
