Artwalk with Yeok 18 Melbourne: Elise Hurst, Kaitlin Beckett, Australia China Art Foundation, Creature Creature at Revolver Upstairs & Reko Rennie

It’s been 2 weeks since my last Artwalk post. Because I have been busy working on my own debut solo show in Melbourne! More about that later. Here are what I saw last week. I had “Only You” by Portishead playing while I was editing the video and it seemed fitting.

I didn’t make it to Creature Creature‘s live painting session at Revolver Upstairs, so I decided to pay a visit in the afternoon. I discovered Revolver Upstairs when Rudd Kid was painting there. They renew their wall every month with the hottest street artist. Revolver Upstairs: 229 Chapel St, Prahran VIC 3181

 

 

I was so sad when I realise Ausin Tung Gallery has disappeared, but then I discover they just changed their branding back to Australia China Art Foundation

Chapel Street Bazaar is quite an interesting place, I can spend a whole afternoon there and get plenty of inspirations. 217 Chapel St, Prahran VIC 3181

It was the first time I visited Karen Woodbury Gallery, can’t remember where I found them but it’s quite an elegant space for a rather hidden entrance. Level 1/167 Flinders Lane Melbourne, VIC 3000

I have heard a lot about Anna Schwartz Gallery, I have even taken photos at Art Fairs when they are around. But apparently no photo allowed inside the gallery, not even on opening night. So I probably wouldn’t feature them again any soon.

I stumble upon Elise Hurst‘s No Vacancy Project Space in Fed Square. I really love her works!
